This summer has been a fantastic one for Londoners or for those travelling here.  It is not over yet though because there are still many very exciting summer festivals taking place throughout August and September.  If you are travelling to London, we highly recommend the following events as a must-see:

3 - 20th August - Summer Festival in Trafalgar Square.  Location: Trafalgar Square.  Tube: Leicester Square or Covent Garden.

This is the first of its kind in London, where there is a season of events in Trafalgar Square.  The Festival will start at 6pm on Thursdays, 8pm on Fridays and 3pm on Saturdays and Sundays.  All events are free. 

There are performances of all colour and variety starting from British dances to International street performers.  We, at the Quality Apartments team, will definitely pop in to experience this truly World-Class festival and hope to see you there.  For any of you who may not have been to Trafalgar Square before, it is one of the landmarks of London.   It is a huge square with the famous Nelson's column (a British hero), the giant statues of lions and surrounded by the National Gallery.

8-10th September - Oyster & Seafood Festival.  Location: Hays Galleria.  Tube:  London Bridge, 2 minutes walk

Seafood heaven for all food lovers.  This is the only seafood festival in London and all within the elegant surround of the Hays Galleria.  As you enter this haven, you will be immediately hit by the sound of sizzling king prawns and the aroma of mussels with herbs. 

For the decadent in you, eating fresh oysters with a glass of sparkling Veuve Cliquot Champagne cannot be beaten. 

The view from Hays Galleria is absolutely stunning because it is set right beside the River Thames.  From this vantage point you can see the whole landscape of the City, with the Tower of London on the right hand side and the towering Gherkhin building in the City.  Perfect summer chilling!
